Hi,
Thanks in advance for your input... when I click on Start>>>My Computer and try to open my C drive, I get a gray box message telling me that this file shown below cannot be found and that it is needed to open the drive... RECYCLER FILE S-1-7-32-100011765-100028851-1000002 By the way, I can right click and "Explore" to get to the drive... but this is a new problem and puzzling me.... Thanks for your help... |

Is there an autorun at the root of your drive? If so, delete it and restart.

autorun or some spyware shell just by guessing but i can see youve already checked for autorun. id say do a few scans using a boot cd if it wont let u install in the OS
also maybe a checkdisk just incase something is a lil off

Trojans are what will cause this. Run a good anti virus scan. You might consider downloading and running the free malwarebytes. Also run chkdsk on c drive.

Trojan, have a customer with 2 PC's with this on. Has also changed the start menu, dissabled firewall and a few other things. It spreads like the plague, so don't get using any USB sticks/networks etc.
