Automatic download of DriverPacks on RSS using uTorrent:

1. Open uTorrent (tested on uTorrent versions 3.x)
2. Right-click on "Feeds" in the left menu
3. Choose "Add RSS feed"
4. Where it says "Feed URL," enter the address http://drp.su/rss/driverpacks/beta/
5. Check the box marked "Automatically download"
6. Click OK and receive a subscription to new DriverPacks that are automatically downloaded when they appear

Good info.

RSS combined with bittorrent is such a helpful combination. Its a shame more torrent clients don't support it natively.

I turned the Feed on this afternoon and received 34 zipped files, 3.91 Gbs.

This must be all of the various directories (Sound, Lan, Video, Chipset, etc) which include the previous and the very latest drivers. Just the Lan directory alone is 230mb.

No.

But for most machines it will make the process of adding drivers a quicker process. It runs as a 'batch' so no need to search, then download, then run individual installers for everything manually.

Usually it will get everything but card readers and infra-red devices. Sometimes it struggles with bluetooth and a few other bits that have diverse or rare chipsets.

So instead of lots of driver installs, after this has run there usually remain only 2-3 to do manually. (varies by machine and OS)

There are plenty of posts about 'driverpack solutions' here if you want to research more to find out about what people think of it, and how they use.
