Default password programs

Im thinking of buying an external hard drive but i dont want people snooping on it and accessing some sensitive info.

Is there a program/software that i can place folders and files into on the hard drive that require passwords???

Many thanks

TrueCrypt for any OS.
If you're using Vista, you can use BitLocker. If you're on a Mac, you can encrypt it with File Vault.

A third option is to get a maxtor black armor HDD http://www.maxtor.com/en/hard-drive-...lackarmor.html
