I have just uploaded my new website and I would like to know what everyone thinks about it.
I am still adding a few more pages such as about us and FAQ but the bulk of it is done I hope. Its www.accentoffice.com.au and a little side note the video on the homepage was simply to show someone an example of what could be put there. Thanks

I would work on the page optimization for making it load faster. 3mb pictures can probably be reduced to a 100k or so. The longer it takes to load a page, the less likely someone will stay on that page, which means fewer customers.

I must say I do like it once the page has loaded. I agree pclink regarding the images as they took a while to finish loading although some of this could be down to me running several computers and phones on our wireless at the same time.
I do like the colour scheme and how it is all laid out, nice clean and simple with all the relevant information present. I can't really say anything bad about it at all other than the image situation I mentioned earlier. |

I think the colors and eveything look great, but it's still slow to load. I did notice the picture sizes were reduced, they could probably be reduced some more and still keep the good quality. The main page won't load on this site, which could be due to the video, but other pages will load. It should give you some good pointers on what needs to be done to make the load times improve. Hope this helps

nope thats the image you have on the site @882kb (!)This is the size it should be @95kbthe images on that page are all incorrectly sized and optimized at about 2.2MB download, TOTAL. At the size you are displaying them, they should be about 300kb, TOTAL. Slow page load will make people click away from your site if they have to wait. Heres a trick you might find useful. Grab a copy of Lightshot, go to your pages on your site, and hit printscreen on your keyboard drag the mouse to select the size you want the image to be In lightshot, it will tell you in PX what the numbers are for this Then in your image editor, just resize height or width (lock aspect ratio to stop stretching) This will give you the correctly sized image save. upload. done. You can also do further optimisation with software like pnggauntlet that will make your images even smaller, and your page-loads, faster. -- Also, look at your ALT and TITLE tags on your images. .

Thank you all for your feedback. I have gone and reduced all of the photos in file size and also physical size so they are all under 100Kb now
There have been issues with our website host so that may have caused some of the slowness but that has now been solved.

more feedback..
ABOUT redirects to a user login url I find the menu system kind of mickey mouse for a site of this size - the breadcrumbs below the main navigation menu could be mistaken for a menu in and of itself - users finding themselves with nowhere to go. Also the 'site navigation' on http://www.accentoffice.com.au/ProductsPromotions.aspx is an orphan menu - does not seem to appear on other pages, and child links on the SERVICES section just go the services page. Seems kind of redundant. Just my 5c
