I have some Dell Poweredge 1950's that I'd like to know what generation they are. Does anyone know how to identify this? They are from 9/2006 if that needs to be known. Thanks a lot!

I use this site so much to get a wealth of information via entering the service tag...I have it bookmarked

I just got an email from Dell regarding the generation. Even though the 1950 is a 9th generation server, there are "sub generations" for each server so that is why it is difficult to determine from the list. So Gen II it is! The only way they could tell is from the front bezel they tell me! How ridiculous is that, the only part of the server that is often removed or lost is the only part marked with the info. It really doesn't matter but I just found that odd.
