My iTouch 3G can't really hold much of a charge anymore...driving me nuts. Unfortunately to change the battery on this model it requires some delicate soldering once you replace it, which I'd rather not mess with.
So! Anybody interested? I can pay you or trade some design work, whatever you like.

Hmmmm, didn't you just get done posting a link to ifixit for do-it-yourself iphone parts/tools?

Well either I missed the line about you not wanting to do it since it's on a small scale, or that was an edit you made. Therefore I will presume that I didn't read that line and apologize if I was rude.

No worries. It's half laziness and half not wanting to mess up a $300 device because I've never soldered before. But ifixit is like 15 minutes from me and I could get the parts there.

it involves soldering? never knew that. Even if it does from what ive seen especially with a battery it should be easy on your first go.

Yeah this particular generation of ipod--unlike others--does require soldering to the logic board. I read through all the instructions on how to do it and that was enough for me!

I'll gladly do it if no one else wants to. I bet you could do it yourself though. I've done one before and it's not that big of a deal. Unless, you're terrible with a soldering iron, in which case things could go horribly wrong for you...

Thats the only draw back with these devices, that there very difficult even for something that should be 'easy' like replacing a battery

And that would be exactly what pisses me off about Apple...they don't WANT you doing anything, ever...
