posted this over here - since it (maybe? probably?) had to do with viruses
just wondering if anybody's seen these error msgs before - i haven't and what you do to get around it specifically, re-installing hard drive controllers - ?? IF that is even where the problem is (I suspect so... since replacing the old HD with the new HD gives me the same bluescreen)

You may need to replace the BIOS chip. In theory the virus could have silently reflashed your BIOS with a bad one. It's a long shot but It's true.
