Default HP F1703 LCD Monitor Goes Blank During Work

Customer says their HP F1703 LCD monitor runs for awhile than the screen goes blank. If they turn it off and let it sit for 20 minutes and turn it back on it works again and again it will work for a short period of time.

I already asked them about their power settings for the computer and that is apparently not the problem. Customer says the monitor will do that while they are working on it and that the machine is not idle.

I have little experience in fixing LCD monitors but I would think a LCD monitor is probably not to different from a laptop screen.

My question is than what would cause the screen to blank out? There maybe ventilation issues but I wont know that till I see it.

thanks
