I've got a similar issue as well on mac. I've got a client with a ricoh cl3000 gestetner printer. He claims it worked before, and then accidently resetted the printers.
I added it via IP and it read it fine, but it REFUSES to print from the mac. It works fine on windows pcs but not on the mac. It is not shown under "Default" It keeps showing that the printer is "Paused" all the time. It will not resume. Any ideas there by chance?? Almost seems like a driver issue to me. Thanks, Landon |

Since we don't have much to go by and most techs here don't know the first thing about printer troubleshooting with Macs (no offense intended to anyone), we are going to start here and here.

I did go over the suggestions in the other threads that I have seen.
You are right though, really since leopard, I have had no problems with printers on mac until now. I am going to go over the pages anonoymous suggested from apple. I just don't understand that it picks it up fine, but it just remains "paused" whereas it works fine on a windows pc. |

System preferences/print & fax. Select the printer in left panel (it should be labeled as paused with an amber colored button or dot). Open the print queue and select "resume printer". After you back out of the queue, the status of the printer should be labeled ready now with a green dot or light.

Thanks anonymous. Yeah I have done that multiple times to no avail.
I told him when he got time to restart the mac and unplug the printer for at least minutes and try again. That was yesterday. Hopefully he will touch base with me today and I will update the situation. Thanks, Landon |

Is there any jobs sitting in the queue? I'd make sure they are all gone.
