lol...I don't see this catching on too quickly with the general public. Maybe us techies will go wild with such an idea. Even then, though...I just don't see it. I wonder if your files will be kept local or be "cloud" based like Chrome OS?
It said in the article that it is more likely that HP will include Windows, with an option to run WebOS. I think that most people will just stick to what they're familiar with. Plus application support will be a massive issue with both general public and business customers... Sorry...my thoughts aren't being organized in a constructive way today.

From what I was reading WebOS runs on top of WIndows like an application.

I wonder if this would be available as a standalone app or will it require an HP computer.
Just think of what would happen if all computer manufacturers turned in to Apple. Each system having a different OS and different available applications. All branded to that manufacturer. We already have 3 desktop OS's right now, I am not sure we can have many more without things getting considerably complicated for end users. O well at least we will have job security.
