First question, has anyone else been tempted or had success putting a button on their home page that allows the user to click a button and open a chat window with you? It seems like a great way for potential customers to speak to someone instantly, and let one of us make a pitch to them. Whenever I'm on my computer I have my LogMeIn Rescue window open, and it makes a nice little chime when a customer requests a chat session.
Second question, if you have had success before, do you have any advice for setting this up? I've read through https://secure.logmeinrescue.com/Com...nstantChat.pdf which is a custom CSS script that I don't have enough web design experience to integrate into my website, which uses Joomla. Has anyone here had success with this, or have email contact info for someone that could set it up for me on the cheap? |

This actually looks fairly simple to setup if you follow the instructions.

I've been using Mibew (http://mibew.org/) for live chat and honestly not many people use the live chat. I get a whole lot more people filling in my email contact form.
BTW if you want/need help integrating the live chat just let me know. I'm a huge Joomla and Wordpress junkie. I can probably help you get it integrated pretty easily (no charge). |

I need to first work on the zendesk ticket manager widget, then I will do the instant chat button. Thanks for the reminder!
