A client of mine has a server 2k3 box with AD DC, File, application, printer, and dns/dhcp.. Every morning they say they can log in, get online but not access any mapped drives or shared files.. I just took over another IT companies left behinds so I still have research to do, just looking for some tips.. thanks!

The last time I saw this some fool had set dns on all the clients to OpenDNS. Probably DNS related either way, most networking problems in an AD will be.

I will have to agree, it appears to be a DNS issue. Try mapping the drives with an IP and see if they can access them, if they can it is indeed a DNS issue

All of the clients SHOULD have the dns settings ointing to the AD server.
