Did you know that Vista Business and Ultimate editions have downgrade rights?
I just read that if you have either Vista Business or Vista Ultimate, you can use your License for either one and install Windows XP Pro using the Vista license. There is hope!!!! |

Oh man you just found this out. The only versions of vista I recommend is Vista Business and Ultimate, for obvious reasons.

Yes, the do. Yet people try to defend it for some reason. I kinda feel sorry for these people. These are the same people that always think newer=better.
How about "if it aint broke, don't fix it" With Microsoft its more like: "If it aint broke, fix it until it is" |

Yea every new Vista Business notebook or tablet I received came with XP Pro recovery media, I only recommend Vista Business, or Ultimate to my customers specifically for this reason.

Technically this is not new. there has been downgrade options for a long time. There just hasn't been much of a need for it until vista.
Downgrade options are not just for the Windows Operating System. Microsoft will also allow you to downgrade thier other software such as Office and Visio, but you have to stay with the same version type. Example: downgrade from the horrible and ugly Office 2007 Pro to Office 2003 Pro. or from Office 2003 Standard to Office XP Standard. It gets a little odd when it comes to the type of licesne such as retail vs. OEM Office Downgrade Rights
