Power charger keeps going out

I have a lady that lives down the street from me and has a dv2000. She has bought 3 hp brand chargers off of ebay in the past 3 months and they are all shorting out on her.

Has anyone heard of any motherboard issues that would cause the chargers to short out so fast? She has another computer that she uses in the same power jack in her house and is not having a similar problem, so I am pretty sure its not her jack in the wall or anything.

Thinking something may be wrong with the mobo or dc jack? It doesn't feel loose or anything though..

Sounds kinnda odd. I know HP Dv series are notorious for bad Mobos. As far as the charge shorting out, it may be that she is stretching it across the room or winding it up really tight.
