I recently installed AVG Antivirus (paid version) on all of their networked computers. Since then, two of the users have to log into outlook twice before allowed access to outlook. This is the Outlook password, not the email password.
I turned off the email scanner and the spam scanner in AVG and nothing changed, could it be the AVG plugin or Outlook itself? And ideas? |

I haven't heard yet of an Outlook password. I did setup passwords for email accounts in Outlook Express or MS Outlook. You didn't mention which Outlook,by the way.
It's an AVG plug-in in Outlook causing this. I've had issues with AVG taking too long (in the past) to scan incoming and outgoing emails. Rarely used it since.

My bad about the Outlook password. I am used to Exchange emails a little too much. I am guessing this is what you have enabled for Outlook password.http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...495611033.aspx

Yes, it's the Personal folders password.
It's Outlook 2007. I agree it's a possibility that it's AVG causing this, it's the how to fix it. I can't find anything in the AVG forums on this issue. I could turn off the AVG plug-ins, but then that would defeat the purpose of having them. thoughts??? |

Give this a try: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...word-on-vista/
PS. You might have to rename the entire "Protect" folder to make it work. |

In the meanwhile, ask on the AVG forums about this issue! See if anyone knows something.
When you get a working answer, please come back and let us know!
