Just picked this up from http://shellcity.net last night..
Looks pretty good.. ENVY.......... ENVy compares the environment of two computers and provides a color-annotated display of the results. ENVy compares Environment Variables, over 400 Internet Explorer settings, Network Configuration, Installed Software, Operating System, Processor, Startup Commands, Process List and more. ENVy is essential for any developer or IT professional that works with multiple computers. Using ENVy v1.2 will save you time, money, and headache by instantly identifying and guiding you right to the differences between your environments.....(free) http://www.zorinsoft.com/ Thanks, Kent |

I was actually lookin' for somethin' like this last night lol ..
I was having problems gettin' my new XP box to see my Vista lappy, and the partners XP lappy. I'm sure I could of used this program to find the culprit sooner. I could've compared my XP box, to the partners XP lappy and seen the difference between the two .. ( I did it manually btw; to see the differences in Services ) It ended up being the Workstation service was disabled. Nice find!

The one thing I just noticed is that I took a copy of the folder and copied it over to another system and was able to run with no issue.
Thanks, Kent |
