You all know what I'm talking bout. (After removing the printer from Devices and Printers and then reinstalling the printer and trying to give it the same name as before)
I know I could just change the printer name, but I like to keep things organized. I checked online for 30 minutes but thought this would be the fastest way to get an answer. The same thing happens when deleting a wireless network from the prefered list. After recconnecting a number is added behind the wireless network name For example "MYWIRELESS 2" |

Go to Printers and Faxes, File, Server Properties, look under Ports, I think. Delete the name from there. Try to reinstall.
Let me know if it worked!
