How do you pronounce this year?

So here is a question me and a couple buddies were asking each other. Now that it's a new decade (2010's) how do you pronounce them and more specifically, how do you pronounce this year (2010)?

For example how would you pronounce the year in this sentence.

"Back in 2010 I had a lot of fun. The '10s were the best"

I pronounce it "Back in two-thousand ten I had a lot of fun. The two-thousand tens were the best" but my buddies say "Oh-Ten" for the current year and "Oh-Tens" for the current decade- I just think that Oh-Ten is a little wrong since your using the centuries number for the "Oh" to describe the decade which is wrong- the year is acceptable since it's correct.

Twenty ten I think has been said or thought more than any other for me at this point when I think of this new year.

"Twenty-Ten" sounds a bit silly when I say it like that. Hearing it maybe- but saying it kind of tickles my nose. When we reach the '20s though that's when I'll probably start saying it like that. 'Twenty-twenty'

I remember my grandfather telling frirst world war stories (he was born in 1889)
And he reffered to the years as: nine o three,
nine seventeen, nine twenty, etc.

Judging by how people of the last century were referring to this years, we could probably call it "twenty-ten"

Edit:
We cannot really say "ten-ten" because that was 1010 (one thousand and ten)

For me this year is definitely twenty ten, and the decade is "adolescence"

2010 is "twenty-ten" for me and my fellows but for us "twenty-ten" is also the proper way to say "ten-minutes-after-eight-in-the-evening"
