Thanks for all the feedback everyone! Its been super fun learning web design and I hope that I will be able to offer it as a service here pretty soon. The technical side is easy but graphics design...not so much.

I checked it out in chrome and it was OK. I'm basically looking for feedback on anything. Some comments on my content would be nice though. I tried to be as personable as I could. On my old site I used "we" for everything but I felt guilty because It's just me.

i get an alignment problem in IE8 if dont open in full screen. see image attached.

it will align fine if i open fully or resize from original but worth noting as clients may not actually resize and just close.

Just wanted to say I checked it on another PC with FF and it worked fine, must be some setting here I suppose. Just wanted to let ya know! The IE8 thing though above I could not re-create after starting with small, enlarging to full screen, then back to smaller size, it worked normally in all IE window sizes.

Yeah I thought the FF thing was strange because I have the latest FF on this PC and it looks OK. As far as the whole left sidebar not appearing, well that has me worried. I really don't want random computers not rendering the left sidebar. But if its not happening consistently then that makes it hard to fix. I'm upgrading IE6 to IE8 to see if I can recreate the problem. Thanks for pointing it out!
