Hard Drive Rebuild

Hello All!
I have a client who's hard drive physically stopped working a few years ago. The drive wont spin or anything, and he has vital information stored in there. He took it to a local place and they were going to charge him a rather ridiculous amount to restore its functionality. Is there a service in the united states that can restore his drive (repair the platters/heads, etc.)? I understand i can google this information but i'd rather take the word of this forums members. thank you in advance.

They are all pretty expensive, 200$-1000$ I've been quoted serveral times. I don't have a place I really like, but I wouldn't go to Fields I haven't had the best of luck with them. They seem to have about twice the failure rate of everyone else I've ever used.

200-1,000 is a LOT better then what he got quoted (2,500)

Check out Gillware, have had good success and the prices are reasonable as is the service and no risk.

Sorry for the delayed response, but apparently this hard drive has a .pst file of a previous employee with vital attachments of legal documents for their (international) business. I mentioned they could pay a visit to their lawyers and try to get copies, but they'd rather get them off the hard drive to avoid the "hassle."
