So i got the itch to start my own business last year and went at it full throttle and head down. Now 8 months later, i am looking at my current business model and seeing quite a few gaps that need filling to make it a success.
Any input / constructive criticism would be appreciated. Current Business Model Company Name: P5 Consulting LLC Company Services: Computer Repair, Technology Consulting Advertising: Business Cards, Facebook, Raffle Donations, Member of local Buy Local group. Website: www dot p5consulting dot net Pros: Wide variety of services offered Cons: Company Name, Non Professional looking logo Misc: Only costs are new Advertising materials Proposed Business Model Company Name: Re-Launch as
Company Services: Same as above and will now include selling HP products and others as I get into their partner program. Also researching mobile device / tablet repair. Advertising: Same as above. Will add lawn sign (lots of walkers in neighborhood) and the new company name will allow for more concise advertising in local papers. Website: Obtain new domain and the existing site will re-direct to new one
Pros: Continue to offer current services, and will expand to equipment Cons: Hopefully None ![]() Misc: There is cost associated for the Re-vamp

There just isn't much detail there to give me anyway to provide input. What are you doing now? What specific services? What new services are yoy offering? What is your vision statement? What is your mission statement?

The tablet and mobile repair may bring in some additional business, but the other two things aren't likely to.

I would add on
Small business solutions (all cloud stuff) Add on an antivirus protection plan (see mine here http://callthatgirl.biz/avpp) Offer online back up Add on remote support for home/res and small business Prepay plans for those that don't have servers (or buy blocks of time) For marketing, you can't go wrong with spending time on Linkedin, do speaking engagements for local chambers and groups, review the marketing forum here (read back pages, well worth it! Tons of ideas)
