Yup, and thats what I'll be doing I guess. I don't mind paying more up front because I know how much it will save me during the year. So far this month my wife and I have used over 11 gigs of data, and we are not even half way yet.

This topic reminds me of when I had one of AT&T's data cards with an unlimited data plan. One of the sales reps was trying to get me to upgrade to one of the newer cards shortly after they started the 5G cap. I told her I'd love to but couldn't afford to lose the unlimited plan I had. I remember her telling me that very few people ever use 5G. When I explained that I was one of those few, she then asked if it was ok for her to look at my past data usage, which I agreed to. I wish I would have had a camera to capture the look on her face when she told me that I was right because the previous month showed my usage at over 300Gs lol.

i did the math based on usage for my mom and dad's account ( i am still on there account) and we actually end up saving about 50 bucks a month.
so as much as i curse the loss of unlimited data it's probably going to make data more accessible to more people. although my big concern is what happens when they light up the 4g LTE network around here.

I think thats really the whole plan. When 4g really takes off data overages are going to eat people alive. |
