Commonly....."No". It's a little more popular in the south/lower Atlantic states.

However, putting some type of meat inside another type of meat is fairly common. Chicken and pork is a common one.
Before Turdukens got popular, we used to put whole chickens inside of whole pigs when doing pig roasts.
