Default Another Website critique

Hey All

I have been around computer repair since the Z80 days but I am just starting on my own now. I am not a web designer so I would love some critique on my site. Any help would be appreciated.

The first thing I noticed when I go to you site is the big "We fix your system right the first time". The bottom of the y's and g are cut off. Also you menu at the top some of the items have a rounded bottom edge and some are just straight and the drop shadow just cuts off. The other thing I see is your logo at the top in IE but for me in Chrome it isn't showing up. I like the site other than the minor Graphic stuff.

Thanks, yea I noticed the cut offs on the letters. Need to look into that more. The menu was a quick fix from the last I need to fine tune it more. As for Chrome I need to bug fix the other browsers.
I also noticed on my Diagnostic computer which is WinXP I get the same thing. But on my custmoers WinXP machine it is fine. Same ie8 with all updates. So I guess I need to do more debugging.

Thanks for the feedback.

Dave

I can confirm your logo isn't displaying in FF either.

Apart from the issues already aware of and have discussed, might i suggest you grab the PNG version of the ACRBO logo. The PNG is transparent so it's will blend with the background color and you won't see a white box behind it. Very minor i know, but worth of a mention just for aesthetic purposes.

Ok converted ACRBO logo to png. Also converted logo from tif to png. Does the logo show up in chrome and FF now?

Thanks All

mmm i think the logo is too small. the domain name may restrict you from going out of your city in case your business grows. nice and quick loading time is what i like though

I check your site again using Chrome, don't have Firefox installed on this computer, and the logo does load now. I also see you fixed the other issues suggested except for maybe the large phone number and the drop shadow on the menu.

Looking at your menu.css I found these lines....
box-shadow: 5px 5px 25px #000;
-moz-box-shadow: 5px 5px 25px #000;
-webkit-box-shadow: 5px 5px 25px #000

I would suggest bringing that 25px down. If I am correct that is the blur distance of the drop shadow. Try it at 5px also. Not sure what will be the perfect setting for you but I would play around with it.

Here are my thoughts:

1. Bigger logo
2. Phone number big and near the top
3. Contacts confused me as the page title. Contact us would be better
4. Need more info on the about us. Didn't tell me your history, service area, etc.
5. Take new services off the main page. There is nothing there now, so there is no need for a link.

Otherwise, I thought it was fairly clean and did draw my eye. It looked fine on my iPad, which is always a plus.
