Looks like its displaying the alternative text instead of icons and image links.

Looks like the high contrast theme in the accessibility center in the control panel has been turned on.

I've seen it about once every 3 years and, each time, I have to bang my head on the wall to remember how I undid it the last time. Each time, I pour through the browser's options until I realize it's not just the one browser.
Eventually, I remember to look in the Accessibility/Ease of Access options. I'm 90% sure that's where I found the fix last time.

Talk about fortuitous timing, ran into this problem today. I've run into it before but it's been so long I didn't remember what the problem was when I read this yesterday.
