Facebook page tip on pinning posts top of page

I've had a look at a lot of forum users fb pages and noticed that pinning your posts to the top of the page is not being used.

In case none of you know you can pin a post to the top of your timeline page.

I have used this feature so I can post my site link and keep it up the top so it's easy for people to just click the link to my page instead of just reading the text with no hyperlink. The pinned post stays for 7 days.

This is actually a great tip. I noticed with the newer layout, by default it selects "highlighted posts" instead of "posts by this page" (which I would prefer). Definitely can use the feature in a number of ways, like pinning any sales or specials we have going on. Thanks!

I dont get the pin option for some reason...?
I get the change date, add location etc, but no pin option.

Have you found out why yet PC-MOT?

Have you tried a different browser to the one you're currently using?

Had a google and this is what some people mentioned could be a reason why.

The option actually becomes available AFTER you make the post. So create your post like you normally would, then go back to it - you will have the pin option.
