Since he traded for a Jaguar the Mac could have come with jaguar on it,
but seriously he will be able to do everything he needs with Tiger and faster,

Sure except surf the web without getting errors about browser being out of date. Also, won't be able to install any current 3rd party apps since just about everything wants 10.6.x or later...
