Shamoon the Wiper - Copycats at Work
Customer had this on his machine wiped his c: drive when i did scan it picked it up this kind of stuff is just silly.

Lots of these guys are copycats, script kiddies or using hooks from other malware.

But if it wiped his drive what did you scan ?

I was able to recover the drive after lots of work with some recovery software inside the browser cache virus scanner picked up this malware why anyone would create something like this other than to be malicious, must be kids.

Wow you weren't kidding about the punctuation. Yea I read about this but haven't seen it in the wild yet. Hopefully it does not become super common.
