Default Flyer Idea Help

I want to make a flyer to advertise our Virus Removal Package. I want a small hand out possibly cutting a 8.5x 11 sheet of paper in fours. I need your opinion on how to reword to catch attention. Sort of "dumb it down" so the customer understands it clearly. Please feel free to use also! =] Im not sure about adding so much information, but i want to beef up what we are going to offer so they see that they are getting a great amount of services for what they are paying. any feedback helps!

*Virus Removal Package*
1. Phisically Dust off Computer
2.Repair/ Clean Registry
3.Repair windows
4.Clean and optimize windows
5.Update windows
6.update all software
7.Update drivers
8.Beef up security
9.Make restore point
10.90 Day warranty!

Surely you mean tune up?

I did a flyer recently but it was a general one advertising my services with a 10% discount on production of the flyer. You are cutting out an opportunity to advertise your services generally.

It won't mean anything to anybody, you need to sell the benefit. E.g make your computer run faster.

I second that.

You have to remember, you're selling your services to someone who doesn't know all of the ins and the outs, as well as the terms. This goes back to the idea of knowing how to remove the "geek speak" when people ask you questions, as was just a recent TechNibble article.

To them, it will just sound like a lot of stuff that they aren't sure what the overall benefit will be.

My $0.02

Default Use catchy simple and not so techie headlines

To regurgitate standard marketing ploys:
  • Assume most consumers know little about computers
  • Use words such as FREE
  • Give them unique selling point, I.e "Make your computer faster for only £ ??

Some points from my own experiences,

Do not make the leaflet design too professional, leave it slightly tacky. Overly professional can put off customers.

Ensure you mention 90 day warranty clearly as that is a comforting factor for people.

Try and hand out flyers evenly over time, so don't do a batch of 10000 and then never do it again. Better off doing smaller quantities regularly because people need reminders!

Oh and don't forget to sell anti virus once you get customers in!

Let us know how you get on.
