Tell us a little about yourself
Hi, my name is Lonnie Bailey. I just recently started UpgradeXpress a computer upgrade, sales, and service company in southern California.

What country do you live in?
We are located in southern California USA.

What is your current experience? (Years working on computers, in the business, certifications etc..)
I've been working on computers for over 20 years. No certification to speak of though I take the A+ Comp TIA practice tests every year for fun. I ace it every time. Surprised really that it is an actual certification test as it seems so basic. I am thinking of getting certified, but I've yet to have any issues not being certified.

Are you self looking to start a computer business, already have one, working for someone else or something else?

I built my first computer at age 17 as a hobby. Later decided to go a different route and attended Pasadena Art Center to become a graphic designer. While there I helped set up the Silicon Graphics Lab, and really became more interested in the computers then the art. I continue on the path of graphic designers for over 10 years. All the time building and repairing my own PCs.

In my early 30's I was diagnosed with Poly Glandular Autoimmune Syndrome Type 1. This put my career on hold, my whole life really. Being limited in mobility, and health issues keeping me from working a normal 9-5 job I opted to start my own computer business in 2011. Remote PC repair is the cornerstone of my business as it allows me to continue to work, and not have to be that mobile.

I joined up here, because I love this site. In fact it is probably the only reason that I started my company. It is an amazing resource for me. I've found the remote PC software, and some the main tools I use in my every day work right here on Technibble. I also purchased the business kits that are the foundation for all my business forms, and legal disclaimers.

I'm hoping that I can find even more support here in the forums to help with my unique business situation. We've been in business for a year now, and things seem to be going so far, but I definitely need to figure out how to generate more business for myself, as this will be my only source of income in the future.
