Default New Pogoplug offer

$19.95/yr for unlimited storage and you get the pogoplug classic for free.

Not a bad deal if all you need is a file server but don't want the hassle of maintaining your own backup.

Just passing it along.

Awesome offer!

I would have taken it up, but unfortunately they seem to have some geographic constraints. Looks like its only valid for EUROPE and USA

Great for those in the relevant areas. Just making this available for anyone interested / to save them time.

What's the benefit of this? What is the service fee actually for, if you provide the drives and run the hardware? On the surface it looks decent, but after almost signing up for it I don't see why I'd choose this over a roll my own solution without fees.

It seems like this kind of thing could be set up pretty easily with any NAS and the right programs on the computers and phones.
