Hi,
I just thought I'd pop in and introduce myself. I'm currently working for a very large, international PC manufacturer in their UK warranty repair centre, however I am unfortunately being bade redundant at the end of the month. I have hopefully secured another job in the IT Dept of a local utility company, however I am also taking advantage of this situation to start building a business from my hobby of repairing computers for friends and family etc. It seems, at the moment, that I'm spending every minute of my spare time working on somebodies computer, so I figured it was time that I started to earn a little money from it. As I'm going in for another full time job, I'll only be self employed on a part time basis, however from small acorns and all that! ![]() Anyway, that's pretty much me, it's time I got myself off to bed - it's gone 2am and I've been up since 6am yesterday...actually, I may just finish off the design for my new website before I turn in

Welcome to the forums. Many of us technicians fell into this field by already fixing computers in one way or another and realising "hey, i should charge for this". Good luck with your business
