What I think is amazing is that in the country of lawyers no one has sued MS for lying in their ADs about Windows 7.
Its not more secure, Its just about the same. And its not a new OS, its the same with BUG fixes and tweeks,,,!

I have been using Windows 7 on desktops, notebooks and media centers for the last 3 months and in my opinion it is the best operating system MS have released. However while the security has been improved in Windows 7 you would be a mug not to have a good a good AV scanner and a good realtime antispyware tool installed on your computer.

No amount of security software will stop stupid people from getting infected. I hope you wrote a nice warning on the receipt about all the viruses to cover yourself.

Earlier, someone said that Dell no longer offers XP. That's not quite right. They still offer a "bonus XP downgrade" option in the business section. This is the same as it always was with Vista.

Ok, but I doubt most people will go to the business section unless they are in business and then most businesses dont downgrade to XP they go with the latest OS.

Anyone can order out of the business section. The consumer section never did offer the XP downgrade option during the Vista years.

Most folks go directly to the other section, where you can spec out just what you want. It is just like ordering a new car.
