Default Driver Detective

Hi TN'ers...

I was just wondering if anyone has dealt with Driver Detective in the past or current.

I stumbled upon this when I was looking at drivermax website...

Can someone please put their opinion?

Cheers,
Goraek

In my experience these all these magical driver updater programs are bloat/crapware that bring far more problems and try and charge for lackluster results.

However, that has not stopped me from looking for the holy grail of driver solutions.

So if anyone knows of one that actually works, please correct me.

Device Doctor seems to work. I have not used it on a clean system yet with no drivers installed. Sometimes that makes a difference as to whether or not these type of programs can actually find the drivers.

Driver Magician is pretty much my fav and only really useful app that deals with drivers I found useful. Driveragent.com as well but that's more of an online service, but it works well.

+1 for driveragent.com

I also bought a license for 100 computers from them for a much, much lower price, you just need to contact them for a quote.
They look a little like a bogus side I think, trying to hook you into buying, but actually they are very good and OK.

Be careful if you buy many licenses from them though, they run out after one year. Be sure to ask them before hand that its is an unacceptable part of the sale and get unlimited time.

I just go to the manufacturer's web site and download the correct drivers. It's fast. It's free.

Watch out for driver detective, it downloads and tries to install stuff you didn't ask for.

It also seems to require .net installed and up to date.

Useless

Goraek , not to be a dick or nothing, but this forum is for suggesting tools , not asking about them, this is the second time you've posted in this section asking about tools, go to the other sections of the forums for questions

Do you even own a computer repair business, Adam Chok ?
