A search did not show that this has been mentioned.
For anyone that missed it, Glary Utilities was infected by a virus last month. It has been updated, but you will want to make certain you have the latest, uninfected, version. The latest is v2.16.0.758 and was released on September 18. I heard about this as well and have updated my versions. I kept thinking the alerts were false and it is a little disturbing to hear that they weren't. I think they said it had something to do with the development environment.

Their Delphi development environment was infected with malware that would add a virus to any program that was created -- including Glary Utilities.
I would highly recommend subscribing to a security RSS feed that alert on issues like this: H Online: http://www.h-online.com/security/Vir...--/news/114031 -- Patrick B. |
