Had heard about some of the new, low-cost desktops requiring an external power supply, but this is the first specific model I've seen with it. Also, noted that the CPU is soldered to the MB.
If a problem develops, at $209, my guess is that most people will simply replace it rather than repair it. Are we seeing the beginning of disposable PCs?

With all the problems that HP had with the DV series and chip/solder failures I would think they wouldnt solder down another chip
![]() I would steer clear of this just because I wouldnt want to sell it to someone and have to honor warranties on it. Just my .02c here... coffee |

You're right. ^ I could deffinately see that happening in the near future. Would rather not deal with that myself.
