Default HP Pavilion p2-1134

At best buy for $209. Not many left, I had to hit three stores to get 5 units.

The price is unbelievable for this basic machine.

specs here

Seems like a good deal. Currently debating if I should go snag the one that's showing up near me.

Wow this is a great price! Will save this link and show a couple of clients who have been asking me for basic computer setups for their children.

Had heard about some of the new, low-cost desktops requiring an external power supply, but this is the first specific model I've seen with it. Also, noted that the CPU is soldered to the MB.

If a problem develops, at $209, my guess is that most people will simply replace it rather than repair it.

Are we seeing the beginning of disposable PCs?

With all the problems that HP had with the DV series and chip/solder failures I would think they wouldnt solder down another chip

I would steer clear of this just because I wouldnt want to sell it to someone and have to honor warranties on it.

Just my .02c here...

You're right. ^ I could deffinately see that happening in the near future. Would rather not deal with that myself.
