They sent customers my way before, maybe more now. The way they treat customers is terrible.

Not sure I understand this move. Its my understanding that geeksquad business is still going strong and at the prices they charge how can they not afford to keep the techs they have?

Oh well best buys going to bite the dust eventually anyway.

Yeah, they send us customers all the time for warranty claims, repairs that are going to take weeks or for repairs that will be too expensive. Its ironic that you post this because we have been seeing an increase in referrals from them recently. I wonder if it has anything to do with their downsizing.

I'd think so. I know Best Buy has too much real estate and they are looking to unload for smaller retail shops. Don't really know how GS is going to fit into that? Maybe just serve as shipping facilities and at least mail in the laptops to Geek Squad city where they handle laptops. Not sure what they would do with desktops?

Doesn't GS have something like 20,000 employees ? If its 600 as they say or 1800 as some "insider" say, its only 10 percent or less. I know that seems like alot but firing 1 out of 10 people is not putting GS out of business.

They are closing 6 stores here in the home state of GS and all 6 are in my market area.

I feel bad for those losing their jobs here though, but for my business it's not the worst news.
