Default MonoPrice WAPs

Has anybody tried these yet?

They look similar to the Ubiquity units (though the price different isn't huge anyway)

They don't look similar to Ubiquiti Unifi units......the Unifi units are much larger (almost dinner plate size), lower profile, and have a lit halo ring in the middle.

The units in the Monoprice link....look almost like the little DLink thin AP clients...square base too. I've installed a few of those, they're controlled by a WebSmart switch....and in all 3 networks that I've installed them in...I replaced that whole setup, it was horrible. Websmart switches frequently died, horrible warranty, and the APs couldn't handle heavier traffic loads.
DLink AP

I'm probably better sticking with the Ubiquity units then I guess

They've been working so well, and the price point is so low....I'm wicked happy using them. Just did a setup last week using a pair of their "LR" models...Long Range....in a complicated setup, staff housing of some old old OLD buildings at a summer camp. Was very impressed. By the time I left, one of them had 12x clients latched on, another had 18x clients..and they were both performing well.

Nice! I haven't had a chance to try one out as of yet (most of my clients just require simple consumer-level wireless routers, etc.) but I might order one of the Ubiquity units just to try out, for sure.
