IE9 really slow on new acer

Hi,
New acer 5733. Win7 x64

IE9 is taking literally 3-4 minutes to load pages (bbc, google, whatever)
Pages are loading fine when using FF or Chrome

There are no additional plugins installed, it is straight out of the box.


Any ideas?

Have you tried resetting IE to defaults, ie both the Restore/Reset bits in IE options, Advanced tab

Tried all that no success.
Then tried MS Fixit and it worked.

Wouldn't have thought it would need fixing, only the 2nd time it had been turned on & no software installed yet.
