My slogan is "Putting you IN CONTROL of your PC!" because it fits with the name, Nctrl PC Repair, so people have a better chance of remembering it.

I'm in the process of re-branding my company... my insurance wants me to de-emphasize the "On Site" portion of things... that meant coming up with a new logo. However, I am keeping the original slogan -

Why call a geek, when you can call a professional?

My current Slogan is, "Technological Business With Hometown Values".
I think it give the customer the feeling of a hometown where a man's word is as good as his bond and a feeling of security.

@roborob

I like the "hometown" part since it gives the look of not being a giant corporation.

@crabig

Like how you emphasize going to a professional and take away the geek/nerd thing people feel about PC repair

I just decided to go with "home and office computer solutions" to cover both potential clients.

In a lot of instances, depending on the name of our businesses, slogans can be used to clarify what we do and who we do it for. Take "Call that girl" for example. Why call that girl? Call that girl for what? A date? Fashion advice? No, her slogans make it pretty clear: "Call That Girl, We are here to help"

In other situations, you can use a slogan to further identify with and sell your customers on *why* they should call you, as evidenced by the "hometown" post above by Roborob.

So is it as important as a logo? Could be, depending on your business name and how that name appeals to your current target market.
