Yeah, SMART HDD or something. People come into the shop telling me their hard drive is failing. I have to show them its a virus. After that they think they need new hard drive AND a virus clean. Sad.

You'll have to boot from a CD, or mount the drive externally to a bootable machine...and fix the MBR....it will be living there. Else...you'll go in circles trying to clean it out directly from the booted machine...each reboot will re-infect it from the hidden part in the MBR.

And once again thanks stonecat, i actually read you saying the samething on one of the other threads using google site search lol. Ill give that a shot as soon as I get off of work.
