Looking for IDE cable replacement

I'm using an IDE cable where I normally connect and disconnect to HDD for data recovery purpose. No matter how careful I am, after a while the connect will break.

I’m looking for an extender that is made of PCB instead of ribbon hoping it will last longer. I can not use a docking station because I sometime use a converter like IDE to SATA, etc

Appreciate any suggestion.

Not sure about the PCB but you could get a new IDE cable & reinforce it with epoxy on the back of connector. You can also get the IDE cable with a pull handle molded into conector to remove them easier

Yeah, I have an couple IDE cables with plastic 'pull strips' on the back that I use. I got them from old systems along the line. Check your local electronics recyclers or just epoxy some pull tabs to a cable?
