Windows OEM vs. Retail
I'm creating DVD's of every Windows XP Vista, 7 32 and 64 bit OEM and Retail. I want to make sure I understand this correctly.
Not including any other version of XP I should need 7 disks to cover every reinstallation, 32 and 64 bit? 1) "Windows XP Home SP3 Retail" can activate "XP Home" OEM and Retail, using XP Key Update Tool. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...ne/product-key 2-3) "Windows Vista Retail 32-bit" can activate Vista, any version, OEM and Retail. Change version using this method: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...ne/product-key 4-5) "Windows 7 32-Bit Retail" Can ONLY activate any version RETAIL only. 6-7) "Windows 7 32-Bit OEM" Can ONLY activate any version OEM only. Change version using this method: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...ne/product-key Do I just need to make sure that the ie.cfg look like this for OEM? File ei.cfg Located at D:\"Windows7disk"\sources on the DVD This is the entry from Windows 7 32-bit OEM disk. [EditionID] HomePremium [Channel] OEM [VL] 0 So basically can this be used to reactivate Windows 7 32-bit on Dell, HP, Acer, etc, with the correct product key?

Google All In One disks... you will only need 1 disk for Vista and 1 disk for Windows 7.

Agree you only need 1 vista and 1 7 disc per platform x86 and x64
XP different beast and you need OEM and retail versions There easy to get and burn

You can use my program Windows XP PowerPacker to create an AiO XP disk too.

I use a Vista all in one and a win7 45 - in one has both 32, 64
anything that makes things easier

XP 32 in 1 (OEM+Retail)
Vista x64 + x86 (Includes all versions on 1 iso) Win 7 x64 and x86 with ei removed (choose version) Vista and win7 take both OEM and Retail keys as standard. 3 ISO's and i have all the operating system i really need. Plus they're all slipstreamed with the latest updates and service packs. Happy days!
