I have a motorola ws2000 that I need to program but do not have the password to. I need to know how to get the molorola back to default configuration and password. Is there a way to do this, so I do not have to buy a new one. Any suggestions?

Only 2 ways listed to reset that device:
1. You need to be logged into the web interface of the unit (which you can't do because you don't have the password). 2. You need to connect via null serial cable, and reset through console. A few articles insisted that you had to have the admin username and password to do this reset, but one said you can use the username:restore, and the password:restoreDefaultPassword. Hope this helps. p.s. this was the article claiming to reset with the restore username: http://blog.michaelfmcnamara.com/200...ss-lan-switch/ |
