Hello everyone
i have a question for people who own shops who order alot of stock from alot of suppliers We use about 15 suppliers for all the parts we need, We do get the odd faulty stock - how do you all keep track of the stock for example Know what supplier you have used how old the item is if it comes back faulty when it was rma'd and when it comes back in stock after its fixed Is there software out there that does that? Doesnt matter if its online script or a windows based program Thanks Dave

Don't think it would pay off for us. We rarely need to RMA stuff unless it is DOA...

we get at least 10 a month (laptop power supplys the odd hard drive, the very odd motherboard and the odd iphone screen or laptop screen and sometimes even get faulty memory. O and our delivery drivers like to use our computer case boxes as footballs - get loads of cases with dents in!
10 a month is about 5% of orders

Complain to the delivery company - the drivers often have a bonus tied to the condition of the product.

We are currently using mhelpdesk for our ticketing system and every time we order a part for a customer we log the invoice details. Also, most items will have a serial that you can track back to the manufacture. Other than that, I have maybe done a hand full of RMAs in the last couple years.

The driver always asks us to sign it as faulty he doesnt care ( its not him its the ware house boys ) but yeah we do complain.
Also i will look in to mhelpdesk - at the moment we use pc repair tracker. nothing in that for rma's thanks for the help guys

There is nothing in mhelpdesk for RMAs or inventory for that matter, but we just use the logs for RMA and package tracking purposes. Its not perfect, but it works for now.
