I ran across this today, Microsoft Web Platform Installer 3.0 it sure makes running your CM Software and needed framework on a local machine easy. If you want to use Drupal it will download and install everything you need to run it including a cross platform content manager called Web Matrix to manage multiple platforms ie Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla all in one. It's worth a look see. I found it kinda fun to use.
