Can I run audio from 2 computers to 1 speaker set?

I want to connect 2 computers to my speaker system. My speaker system has a green orange and black 3.5mm connector and I'm wondering if I use a splitter with 2 male ends and one female end if it would work or if the computers would notice that there is cross talk on the speaker channel. Does anyone know?
