Battery not charging

Originally, I had a customer bring in a laptop that had some liquid spilled on it. No big deal, the keyboard was faulty afterwords, and i have replaced it. The good news, almost everything works as it should. Except the battery doesnt seem to be charging.

I am certain that the magsafe port is functional, as the unit does power on when plugged in. The battery itself still has 24% from when it was charging. I just want to hear any other advice before I go ahead and order a battery.
