I understand that once you visit your website, the next time you search it will show it higher wthin the results, because it remembers your search, right?
Does this rely on IP address, or local browser data perhaps? I generally test my ranking on a different machine / phone and IP when possible. But obviously this isn't very practical. Is there a better, free, way? BTW I use 'SERPs Finder' but I assume it has the same, history / IP address problem. Thanks in advance. |

Yes. Use the free version of Traffic Travis.
Search Engine Tools -> Position / Ranking SEObook have a free FF addon called Rank Checker. I used that for awhile, and while the design is good, I found its accuracy a bit iffy. Apparently works well for some people though

I also stumped upon the obvious in 'google webmaster tools' > 'Your site on the web' > 'Search queries' to anwser my own question. Rank 17, with change of +3 this week. Least i'm moving up lol. Last edited by mrbarnes86; 03-26-2011 at 09:27 AM. |

I suggest you to use Google AD Preview tool. I am using this tool for checking keyword ranking for my site.
