Local yellow pages cost

I got an offer to advertise in the smaller sized yellow pages for just the town here. Sounds like a good deal to me, but it was presented as 'half off' so I was wondering if anybody else advertises in their local book and what the cost is?

I realize this could vary greatly with the size of your location. For me, I was told he was looking for a local computer business, there is only one other business advertising in the computers section and they are not from town. I was quoted $385 for a business card size ad for a year. I asked about just a listing to compare and was quoted $395 for the listing.
